See the World Through
Another's Eyes
Explanation of project:
This year-long Web-based activity encourages students in grades 6-12 to use technology to see the world through the eyes of a peer in another county. By creating autobiographical artwork and statements, students will exchange their unique cultural perspectives. The sharing of this information will encourage self reflection on their own identity and that of their counterpart’s.
This online lesson links to external Web sites which provide teachers and students with the necessary tools to complete the assignment. www.ePALS.com allows teachers to search for and make contacts with other teachers and students from around the world, while www.SchoolBlog.com allows teachers to create an online learning environment for their students.
